The Union of Students in Ireland say there is hope for locals looking for College accommodation.

This week Daft.ie released figures showing rents in Ireland were higher than they ever been.

It came just a day after most of the 2,000 leaving cert students who want to go to college got their first round CAO offers and started looking for somewhere to live if they’re going to be studying away from home.

The USI is running a website asking people with a spare room to open it up to students looking for digs.
