Visit Kilkenny has been named a winner at the World Luxury Travel Awards.
Run by Kilkenny Tourism (Find out more here ), it was deemed tops in the Cultural Destination category.
226 groupings from across the globe were awarded, eight of them in Ireland (full list here).
Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council, Cllr Michael McCarthy, says; “We are thrilled to receive this esteemed award, Kilkenny’s dedication to excellence in hospitality and our continuous efforts to enhance the visitor experience have truly paid off. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and
passion of everyone involved in making Kilkenny a top luxury destination.”
Vice Chairperson of Kilkenny Tourism, Valerie O’Sullivan, who collected the award at the awards ceremony hosted at Galgorm, Co Antrim on 19th October, said she was “delighted to accept the award on behalf of the entire Tourism and Hospitality Sector here in Kilkenny who work year round to make the visitors trip to Kilkenny an entirely memorable one.”
