Water back flowing in Galmoy as pump failure is repaired

Water should be back flowing in Galmoy and Rathdowney this morning.

Irish Water has confirmed a pump failure at the local treatment plant has now been repaired with a full supply expected to be restored in the area this morning.

Temporary water stations at the national school in Johnstown, at Galmoy village and at the Square in Rathdowney will remain in place for now though.

Irish Water says it will continue to monitor the situation there with a further update expected later today
