“We need to continue to have hope” says Kilkenny priest on National Missing Persons Day

On National Missing Persons Day the call is strong: if you have any information on anybody who has disappeared across the country, please contact Gardaí.

Families who’ve lost loved ones in a variety of unknown circumstances have been gathering today at Croke Park for a special event to mark the date which remembers many, including schoolboy Philip Cairns who went missing in 1986 (whose mother Alice was from Kilkenny) and Dean Roche whose last sighting was in Ballyfoyle in 2015.

It’s as the search of lands in Co Wicklow, which began just days after the 29th anniversary of the disappearance of Jo Jo Dullard three and a half weeks ago, has officially concluded.
