West ham secure win as pressure grows on Fulham after Sunderland loss
West Ham have moved out of the Premier League relegation zone with a 2-nil win away to Cardiff City.
Carlton Cole and Mark Noble scored for West Ham, who were also reduced to ten-men late on, after James Tomkins was sent off.
An Adam Johnson hat-trick helped Sunderland to an impressive 4-1 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Sung-Yueng Ki also scored for Sunderland, with Fulham’s goal coming from Steve Sidwell.
The 3 points see Sunderland move off the bottom of the table.
Tottenham beat Crystal Palace 2-nil, with Christian Eriksen and Jermaine Defoe scoring for Spurs.
Everton beat Norwich 2-nil at Goodison Park, thanks to Gareth Barry and Kevin Mirallas.
And Southampton beat West Brom 1-nil, with Adam Lallana netting there.
Earlier, Chelsea beat Hull City 2-nil at the KC Stadium to move top of the Premier League, at least temporarily.
Eden Hazard and Fernando Torres were on the mark, to give Chelsea the 3 points.
Everton have signed Republic of Ireland winger Aiden McGeady.
He moves from Spartak Moscow on a four-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
McGeady was paraded in front of supporters at Goodison Park, before Everton’s Premier League game against Norwich.
Steve Bruce has confirmed that Hull City are speaking to West Brom about the possible transfer of Irish international Shane Long.
Bruce has also confirmed that Hull have agreed a fee with Everton for striker Nikica Jelavic
