Willie Mullins made history at Gowran Park today by winning the Goffs Thyestes Chase for a record sixth time when Djakadam crossed the line ridden by Ruby Walsh.
The 9-to-2 shot won the race by 8 lengths.
A clearly delighted Willie Mullins has now beaten the legendary Tom Dreaper’s five wins to become top trainer at Gowran Park.
Cold and foggy conditions failed to deter more than 6,500 racing enthusiasts descending on Gowran Park to see the Mrs. Susannah Ricci-owned Djakadam win the €100,000 Grade A race.
