“You can already feel it” the atmosphere in Kilkenny’s electric as the St Patrick’s Festival gets officially underway

St Patrick’s Festival in Kilkenny’s officially taken hold.

The KCLR Daily’s broadcasting from The Parade today where the Festival Market’s underway and there’s lots of activities for all ages and interests, including walking tours, drumming workshops, face painting, street entertainment as well as circus and fairground style attractions.

Listen out today for the Olentangy Orange Marching Band at 11:45am on the grounds of Kilkenny Castle.

While there are plenty of other musical offerings with TradFest.

All ahead of Sunday’s main event, the parade (at 1:30pm) for which there will be temporary road closures in place on the day with access to Kilkenny City Centre restricted between 9am and 8pm.
