The latest KCLR Hurling Podcast is out now, with Michael Walsh and Eddie Scally reflecting on the highs and lows of the 2025 season while turning their attention firmly to what lies ahead in 2026.

Speaking on the podcast, Walsh outlined what he would like to see from Kilkenny going into next year, stressing the importance of change and fresh competition within the squad.

“The one thing I do hope to see, is some changes on the team. You would like to see new faces coming through. That gives everyone a huge lift,” Walsh said.

He believes the introduction of new players can have a positive knock-on effect across the panel, both in terms of energy and public perception.

“If you have new faces, you have a bit of grace then. People will say they are really trying to build,” he added.

“You can still play 13 of last year’s team if you want to, but whether that will take place I don’t know.”

As well as looking ahead to 2026, Walsh and Scally revisit their personal highs and lows from the 2025 campaign and get into a lively debate around the current state of Leinster and Munster hurling.

The podcast also looks ahead to the weekend’s action, with particular focus on Danesfort as they prepare for their AIB All-Ireland semi-final on Sunday.

The KCLR Hurling Podcast is available now on all major podcast platforms.
