Yesterday when we were in mid-budget two guys from Kilkenny Borough Council arrived with an enormous tree which they wanted us to give away on The Sue Nunn Show. Marie had a heart attack and wondered how she could possibly store the 15 foot tree at the radio station. The guys said they would store it till we got a home for the tree.
Today we asked people to pitch for the tree on air and St Patricks on the Kells road Kilkenny won the pitch by popular vote. It was a nice start to the Christmas spirit. More to come tonight on The Farm Show when Matt O Keefe and Auctioneer par excellence George Candler will host the Lions Farm Auction. Its known far and wide for the generosity of its listeners come Christmas every year! Tune in after the 7pm news and join the crack and the goodwill!
Budget over now and we look forward to Pet Factor on Friday 14th December. Look at the pet pictures on this site and cast your vote. Pet Factor at Redmills is one of those exceptionally crazy and wonderful occasions we get to take part in here on KCLR. You have to be there- if not tune in for the madness!
