Kilkenny could be in line for a brand new sports facility for use by minority sports in the city and county.
A motion has been put forward to the council which would see the introduction of this facility to cater for sports like in-line hockey, wheel basketball and roller derby.
There is no location in mind yet, however if it gets the go-ahead it will be the first of it’s kind in the South East.
Speaking to KCLR, Councillor David Kennedy who was one of the people to propose this motion, says it would offer revenue to the county council because it would be unique.
