Campervan visitor to St Mullins in County Carlow finds note on windscreen

“This area is not a halting site”.

So reads a sign that greeted one campervan enthusiast after he’d parked up recently in St Mullins, County Carlow.

Gerry McGuigan had contacted Waterways Ireland to ensure he could stay there overnight and was given the go-ahead.

But he said he was initially intimidated after discovering the note.
