Focus groups are to be set up to concentrate on the different issues facing Carlow Town when it comes to business.
A second major meeting of local traders, in association with Carlow’s Chamber of Commerce, took place last night to discuss rejuvenating the town.
A taskforce was established after their first meeting earlier this year involving 50-60 local business people.
Chief Executive of the Chamber, Brian O’Farrell says a survey of those members showed some were paying up to 10,000 euro a year in rates – which was outlined as the main issue.
