The story of how a group of Taxi drivers in Kilkenny came together to save lives will be told on film for the first time in the city later.
Ishka Films will present a free screening of Throwline at the Town Hall from 8pm.
It’s a short documentary detailing the suicide awareness work carried out through Taxi Watch which was set up locally by Derek Devoy and has since been rolled out in other counties.
Mia Mullarkey is the Director of Throwline. She explained to KCLR news how the film came about after she read about the story of Derek and arranged a meeting with him.
