FLAKEY PASTRY FILLED WITH BLACKBERRIES AND APPLE

Ingredients
 225g/8oz(1/2 lb) plain flour
 160g/6oz hard margarine
 ½ cup ice cold water
Method
Tarts should be baked at 210C/190C fan-oven/Gas mark 7 for approx 25-30 mins and egg washed before cooking,
Sieve the flour into a bowl and grate in the margarine by dipping the margarine into the flour and then grating. Now flick the margarine around with a palette knife and add the water. Bring together and place in the fridge for 20 mins to relax
This pastry may be used for tarts, mince pies and savoury pies.

Blackberries and apples or apple and clove
