The funerals of the family of a Windgap man found dead in their home this week will take place in Cavan today.

Kilkenny man Alan Hawe, along with his wife and three sons were found dead in Ballyjamesduff on Monday.

The remains of Alan Hawe, his wife Clodagh and their three sons Liam, Niall and Ryan will be laid to rest in Cavan this afternoon.

The family of five were discovered dead in their house in Ballyjamesduff on Monday – in an apparent murder/suicide.

The five members of the Hawe family are reposing in Lakeslands Funeral Home in Cavan, followed by a private removal to St Mary’s Church in Castlerahan for mass at 4 o clock this afternoon.

A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday in St Nicholas’ Church in Windgap where Alan’s parents and extended family live.

Alan, Clodagh, Liam, Niall and Ryan will be laid to rest in Cavan this afternoon.
