The HSE has come in for fresh criticism over files that were left unsecured in outhouses in Kilkenny.
On Wednesday evening last, an official complaint was filed by Deputy McGuinness to the HSE and the office of the Data Protection Commissioner after those files were brought to his attention.
He told KCLR that they could be easily accessed by the public at the auxiliary hospital on Wolfe Tone Street and that they contained personal files pertaining to patients.
However in a statement, the HSE says that no patient were files were among those in those sheds.
Speaking to KCLR News this afternoon, a listener who worked at the hospital in the 1980s says that’s not the case.
