Inistioge shop to reopen in coming weeks

As one local shop closes, another is set to open its doors.

The shop in Inistioge had been closed for the past year but it’s now set to re-open in the coming weeks.

Inistioge Councillor Michael Doyle hopes this may be what’ll save the village that he says was in danger of slipping away.

He says the future of the local post office is still unsure and the loss of the shop had come as a huge blow to the community.
