IT Carlow signs partnership agreement with college in China

IT Carlow has struck a deal with a college in China that could be worth up to 5 million euro in research projects.

Institute of Technology Carlow has signed a partnership agreement with Shandong Academy in a collaboration that will facilitate PhD and postdoctoral training, researcher exchange and the commercialisation of IT Carlow technologies in China.

The partnership, according to IT Carlow, has the potential to generate up to 5 million euro in future research and commercial projects for the Institute and the Chinese Academy.

Shandong Academy is the largest science and technology research institution in the province which has a population of over 100 million.

A Chinese delegation visited IT Carlow this week to sign the deal.
