Kilkenny sends more aid to Chernobyl-affected areas

A truckload of humanitarian aid leaves Kilkenny today bound for some of the areas worst affected by the Chernobyl disaster.
Local man Jim Kavanagh will man the mission travelling through nine European countries on his journey to Belarus.
The aid delivery has been organised by the local volunteer outreach groups as part of Chernobyl Ireland’s ongoing response to the nuclear disaster.
