Major blaze battled in county Wexford overnight

Fire crews battled a major blaze at a tyre centre in Enniscorthy, County Wexford overnight.

Residents in the Templeshannon area were advised to keep their windows closed because of thick smoke.

The fire at a business premises on the Shannon side of the river in Enniscorthy, sent up plumes of smoke that could be seen from several miles away.

There are no reports of injuries and no indication how the fire started.
