Man taken to hospital following accident at a Quarry in Kilkenny

A man has been taken to hospital this evening after getting trapped in a digger at a quarry on the Tullaroan Road in Kilkenny.

He was trapped in the vehicle after what’s described as a “big stone” fell on top of him around 3 o clock this afternoon.

The fire and ambulance services attended the scene  – and released the man from the digger a short time ago.

He’s been taken to hospital this evening – his condition is not yet known.
