The mother of a Kilkenny man killed in England says she’s had hundreds of messages of support from his friends in Goresbridge.
27-year-old Kevin Kelly died on Sunday after he was injured in an altercation on his way home from a night out in Luton.
A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and has been released on bail pending further police enquiries.
Kevin had a small plastering company and was working in the UK but came home regularly to Goresbridge.
His mother Katherine Barcoe – who now lives in Co Cork – has told KCLR that she’s taking comfort from all the messages of support she’s getting.
A Gofundme page has also been set up to raise funds for his repatriation. For more information you can visit that page here.
