Gardaí who helped a young woman over the weekend have been outlining the ‘nervewracking’ situation. 

They had been drawn to the Hadden’s Carpark by somebody who had come across the woman who it appeared had taken ill.

Garda Tommy O Loughlin sourced a defibrillator and returned to the scene while Student Garda Matthew Forrest began CPR.

Superintendent Anthony Farrell has praised the pair.
