Reception to honour Rose of Tralee in Kilkenny

The Rose of Tralee will be honoured at an event in South Kilkenny today.

Kirsten Mate Maher, who’s from Bigwood, Mullinavat, represented Waterford during last year’s international competition.

A civic reception is being held in County Hall this evening.

South Kilkenny Councillor Fidelis Doherty says it’s just to recognise her achievement and the work she’s doing.
