Simon Coveney has met with Carlow’s Chamber of Commerce to talk about rejuvenating the town

The Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government has met with Carlow’s Chamber of Commerce to talk about the current situation in the town.

Simon Coveney, along with local TD Pat Deering, and members of the Chamber discussed options to improve the local economy there.

It comes as a taskforce set up to rejuvenate Carlow Town launched their ‘Love Carlow’ logo last week to inspire pride in the area.

Speaking to KCLR news, Deputy Pat Deering says there are a number of elements that could be funded.
