In News …
Locally:  Cannabis & heroin have been seized after ten Carlow homes were searched.  The Kilkenny Arts Festival kicks off today.  Failte Ireland has arranged for a group of journalists from across the world to experience Sunday’s games at Croke Park.

Elsewhere:  Hopes of finding any more survivors of those who’d capsized in the Mediterranean are fading.  There’s good news for some mortgage holders.
