Public service union Fórsa will today warn the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Health that HSE staffing gaps could prompt industrial action this winter.
It’s members are travelling to Leinster House, while their colleagues in SIPTU are heading to Kerry for a lunchtime protest outside University Hospital, Tralee.
It’s the latest in a series of lunchtime protests held at medical facilities around the country in recent weeks – as health workers warn HSE staffing levels are undermining services.
Up to a hundred took part in one outside St Luke’s General for Carlow and Kilkenny a fortnight ago.
