The 1916 centenary comes to the fore in Kilkenny City today with a ceremony planned at County Hall in at midday.
It will encorporate the 1916 Proclamation and the raising of the national flag in the garden of County Hall.
The events got underway with guided Military Heritage Tours of Kilkenny City earlier this morning.
