The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is issuing another call for people to donate.
The organisation says that because of the flu outbreak, the numbers of people donating blood has declined, but hospital demand has stayed the same.
They’re calling on people locally to attend a clinic in the Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny City this evening between 4.30 and 8 o’clock.
Speaking to KCLR News, Operations Director Paul McKinney says blood is in high demand at the moment.
