Oak Park in Carlow recorded one of the lowest temperatures in the country last month.
March temperatures were below average across the 26 counties but Carlow recorded the lowest grass minimum reading of minus-9-point-5 degrees Celsius on the 18th.
The Oak Park weather station also reported the most days with air frost at 26.
Overall the month of March saw less rain than the long term average.
