Castlecomer needs full-time community development worker according to one local Councillor

‘If the Government are serious about developing rural towns and villages they need to put funding in place’.

So says Castlecomer councillor John Brennan as he calls for money to be allocated to help local areas to grow.

Councillor Brennan says Castlecomer needs funding for a full-time community development worker with an office in the town so that the various state departments can focus on the areas that need attention.

He says people working on a voluntary basis haven’t time to do the work that needs to be done.
