Over €26,000 has been paid out to locals whose homes were devastated in the recent flooding.
Around half a million euro has come through from the Humanitarian Assistance Fund to help more than 400 households around the country – many of them in the West and South.
But 21 local homes also successfully applied for the money – 19 of them in Kilkenny shared in nearly €24,000 while just 2 in Carlow received more than €2,400.
