“He’s definitely our hero” says family member of two women saved from River in Carlow

Dramatic scenes in both Carlow and Kilkenny in the last 24 hours with four people rescued from local rivers.

Two kayakers were helped out of the Nore in the city (more on that here and here).

And a woman got into difficulty in the Barrow in Carlow when she dove in to save her 13-year-old daughter.

Family member Ann Langton earlier on KCLR Live hailed the local man Miley Doran who pulled both to safety.
