Locals are gearing up for the hottest weekend of the year so far.
Temperatures could hit up to 28 degrees on Saturday with blue skies and sunshine forecast around the country.

Alan O’Reilly of www.carlowweather.com says he will be keeping an eye on the local weather stations with Carlow and Kilkenny potentially seeing the best of the temperatures.
Piltown was the hottest part of the country on Thursday recording 25.7 degrees.
