Local families are preparing to once again open their doors to some extra special Christmas visitors today.
39 children involved with the Chernobyl Children’s Foundation are arriving in Ireland this afternoon to spend the holiday with Irish families.
Three of those children and young people are staying in Kilkenny.
For some this is an annual visit, while for others it’s biannual as they also come for rest and recuperation during the summer.
Their flight touches down in Dublin Airport at 2.35pm.
