Latest horse death in Kilkenny described as “disgusting” and too common an occurance

“Disgusting” is how a local councillor has described the latest horse death in Kilkenny.

The animal was found in a field in the College park area yesterday afternoon – pictures were circulated on social media and it appears to show there was a dog feeding off the animals corpse .

An investigation is underway with Gardai and the local authorities notified.

Councillor Andrew McGuinness says unfortunately incidents like this are becoming all too regular an occurance.

But he says people should continue to report them.
