A local artist says he set up on the Parade this weekend to make a point.
Ramie Leahy was painting his view of the Castle when he was asked by Gardai to move on but he refused.
As one of those behind the original Arts Week in Kilkenny he said he decided to set up there to paint to highlight the Visual Arts which he thinks are not getting enough representation on the current Arts festival programme.
Speaking on KCLR Live earlier Ramie made his feelings on the matter clear saying “People come to Kilkenny not just to hear music, but they also come to see the Visual Arts”.
