Man dies on roadside in Leighlinbridge after suffering heart attack

A man suffered a heart attack and died on the road-side in Leighlinbridge yesterday evening.

According to Gardaí, the man in his early 60s had just got off a bus from Dublin.

Despite the best efforts of locals and Gardaí to resuscitate him – and the arrival of three ambulances – he sadly died on the scene.

It’s believed he was on his way to visit someone in the locality.
