It’s 20 years since the first of 81 very sick children in Carlow and Kilkenny received the care and support of the Jack and Jill Foundation.
The foundation was set up by Jonathon Irwin back in 1997 after the death of his own baby son.
Many of the children their nurses care for have severe developmental delays, suffer from seizures, require tube feeding at home constantly, while others would need support with breathing.
Today they’re hosting an Afternoon Tea Party to mark their 20th Anniversary in the Mount Juliet in Thomastown.
