St. John’s Church in Kilkenny will celebrate its 200th anniversary later this evening. (7:30pm)
Bishop of Cashel, Ferns and Ossory, the Right Rev Michael Burrows will preside over the service.
The recently renovated church was adapted in 1817 from the Lady Chapel of the Priory whose ruins date back to 13th century.
It’s noted for its famous stained-glass windows on the south side and reflects its title as “The Lantern Church of Ireland” because its window formation and lighting interior.
