The Department of Education’s to set up the first Special Needs Assistant Workforce Development Plan to meet the present and future needs of the SNA workforce.
Deputy Jennifer Murnane O’Connor says it’s vital that there’s input from all sides; It’s a framework say, it’s to do with all the stake holders – the schools, the parents and we need to make sure they are properly supported. Is there anything that we need to change? What more can we do in Government in working with SNA’s to help them. So for me this review is really important.”
