Two people were in court last night in connection with the death of Darren Quigley earlier this week.
The 30-year-old father of two was found unresponsive and with serious injuries by Gardaí before midnight on Monday (21st Oct).
He was taken to St Luke’s General Hospital in Kilkenny where he was pronounced dead.
A woman aged in her thirties who it’s understood was known to him was arrested a short time later and has since been charged with his murder.
A second person arrested, a 23-year-old man, has been charged with bringing weapons to a dispute.
Both appeared before a special sitting of Carlow District Court last night where they were remanded in custody and are due in court again via video link tomorrow (Friday, 25th Oct).
