Two people are due before Carlow District Court again today in connection with the death of Darren Quigley.
The 30-year-old father of two was found unresponsive and with serious injuries at New Oak Estate in Carlow before midnight on Monday – he was later pronounced dead at St Luke’s Hospital.
A woman in her thirties who was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday morning has been charged with his murder while a man aged 23 has been charged with bringing weapons to a dispute.
Both attended a special sitting of the court on Wednesday night where they were each remanded in custody to appear again via video links later this morning.
It’s as family, friends and neighbours of Darren will begin gathering later today to say their final goodbyes as he’s reposed locally – funeral details here.
