Woman loses large amount of cash after getting distracted at ATM in Carlow

A Carlow town ATM user’s down hundreds of euro following simple human error.

The woman was withdrawing from the facility on Tullow Street at 12.55pm last Wednesday lunchtime when it appears she got distracted and forgot to take the cash.

Garda Andy Neill has the details; She had just withdrawn 600 euros. And you know how you can get distracted, maybe fixing your phone, the bank card. She got distracted and left her money there. It appears an unknown male spotted this and didn’t swipe it in front of her but within a second of her turning her back. This is simply a theft.
