Stoneyford and Ballyhale are to get a Garda each as part of new plans by the local force.
The announcement was made at yesterday’s Kilkenny Joint Policing Committee meeting.
It’s the first time in years that the areas have had a manned Garda presence and are expected to be in place in the next three weeks.
