It would mean an extra €1.1 million a year on top of the €7.5 million being collected at the moment.
3.8 million euro was collected in Carlow where the highest compliance rate in the country was recorded at 99.6 percent.

Compliance rates locally were above 98 percent while the national average was 97 percent.
Like Kilkenny, a hike in the tax is being proposed
Councillors will now sit down next week to discuss and vote on the proposal.
